In 2016, TANN Corporation was awarded a contract to replace existing butterfly valves on an RTO with TANN poppet valves. The existing butterfly valves had numerous maintenance issues and were causing compliance issues due to leaks. The new poppet valves were custom designed to fit into the existing space and reconnect to the existing interconnecting ductwork. Destruction efficiency testing was completed on the RTO after the new valves were installed and showed improvement in overall destruction efficiency. After the initial success (3) other RTO’s were retrofitted with the TANN poppet valves.
