Overview
TANN is one of the leading manufacturers of RTOs in the world. We also specialize in thermal oxidizer repairs and upgrades for virtually all RTO makes and models. In 2022, TANN provided an upgrade to the burner controls for a competitor’s RTO.
System Issues
This customer had issues with high gas usage and unreliable operating conditions of the RTO due to an old micro-ratio valve which was used for burner control.
Solution
TANN removed the existing micro-ratio valve and replaced it with dual independent actuators. By replacing the system with a control scheme that provided a proper air to gas ratio throughout the burners’ firing range the customer achieved better reliability and energy savings. For this customer, TANN was able to provide gas savings of $20,966 per year.
